Job Description

  • Periodical inspection through approved agency for tools tackles and pressure vessels as per Factory Rules.
  • Organizing Safety Day
  • Organizing First-Aid training programme for employees and Workers
  • Responsible for ensuring safe process issuing Safety permits; monitoring
  • process parameters.
  • To create awareness on usage of PPEs and ensure to follow the same
  • Work on Mutual Aid scheme with surrounding industries under guidance ofDistrict administration & Factory Inspector.
  • Preparation of off-site emergency plan with District administration & Factory Inspector.
  • Work on Disaster Management Plan with District administration.
  • Online reporting of Near misses &Incidents, Behavioral based safety audits,
  • Contractor safety audits, internal & external audits and MOM
  • Successfully implemented Process safety Management in line with DuPont system
  • Implemented Behavioral based safety and carrying out audits.
  • Implemented Contractor Safety Management and carrying out audits.
  • Involved in Two major construction projects errection i.e. PEB structure and equipment installation.
  • Implemented gate entry checklists &Third-party certification for Heavy Machinery i.e. FARANA, CRANES etc. Equipments, Tools& Tackles
  • Regularized Induction trainings for contract workmen,pep talks& Job specific trainings etc.,
  • Work permit systems with Job safety Analysis & Method Statements.
  • Analysis of Incidents FAC, RWC, LTI, MTC and High potential Near misses
  • Identified Safety star cap from each dept., and evaluating the performance
  • Implemented OHSAS 18001 management system and Reward & Recognition
  • Foam sprinkler system, Aerosolsystem, cleanagent system for fire protection at Solvent handling, electrical panel, UPS etc.,
  • Ensuring the Fire Fighting Facilities are in healthy condition, periodic checking of Fire Fighting and emergency equipment as per OISD standard and NFPA standard.
  • Support Line Managers for effective implementation of Work Permit System, Scaffolding Work, Working at Height, Confined Space etc.
  • Conducting Internal Safety Audit and Survey for checking effectiveness.
  • Developing and updating HSE Procedures and educate the Line Management for effective implementation.
  • Develop HSE Training module and conducting training for employee and contract workman for Safety Awareness.
  • Accident investigation and Fix the control measures though CAPA system.
  • Management HSE Report, HSE Statistics, HSE Targets, Benchmarking.
  • Building HSE Culture and Safety Behavioral, Safety Survey and Sampling
  • Ensuring the Fire Fighting System availability, Routine Inspection of Fire Fighting Equipment, Manning and managing Shift of Fire Department.
  • Carry out Fire Safety audit, Safety inspection etc. and statutory audit, Legal GAP audit, Environmental Audit.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in facilitating environment, health & safety awareness sessions to instill safety culture among the workforce to create an accident-free work environment. Well versed with ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001 System.
  • Possess inquisitive mind, creative thinking, excellent organizational skills, flexible & detail oriented attitude combined with strong analytical & information analysis skills and a proven ability to interact with a diverse range of people in a professional manner
  • Charting several safety measures for minimizing occurrence of accidents, fires and calamities.
  • Foreseeing safety performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
  • Fire prevention management & disaster (due to fire, leakage & explosion etc.) control management system through mock drills.
  • Coordinating with the medical department for the periodical medical check ups and other occupational health related activities.
  • Investigating accidents / insentient and taking corrective/preventive measures for achieving zero accidents.
  • Imparting induction / refresher safety trading to employees and contractor workers.
  • Factory license, Explosive license renewal.
  • Correspondence with Health & Safety and Pollution Authorities.
  • Imparting training to employees and awareness campaign.
  • Preparation of On Site Emergency Plan and periodical safety audits.
