Job Description

As a Manager you will be responsible for the below

Building, mentoring, and managing a team of software developers, validation engineers, and product owners.

Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, documentation, and best practices in software design and deployment.

Managing workload, while supporting our mission and keeping quality and timeliness at a high level.

What do we want to know about you

A bachelors or master s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required.

A minimum of 10 years of technical experience building production software in a software engineering, DevOps, or architecture role.

You will need a proficiency in coding languages such as Java.

Having experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud will be a path to success.

Having a solid understanding of the software engineering lifecycle including coding standards, configuration management, deployment, testing, and operations is required.

You should have the ability to learn and understand the details of any technical component as well as drive the overall systems architecture.

What will your typical day look like

You will be responsible for day-to-day communications, performance assessment and feedback, career counseling, professional development, employee rewards and recognition, and resolving personnel issues and managing a team.

You will provide project staffing support with recruiting, interviews and hiring.

You will be responsible for recommending employees for raises and promotions. Will provide detailed employee performance feedback, periodic 1-on-1 meetings, annual mid-term, and end of year performance appraisals.

You will evaluate current project requirements and assure you have adequate staff.

You should identify and implement new or improved tools and processes to increase team efficiency.

Collaborate with the scrum teams to determine current status of projects.

Champion agile methodologies to drive efficient, value-driven delivery.

Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues and architectural decisions.
