Description
As a Manager Service Delivery at Bayer, your role involves working in a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers to support and maintain infrastructure solutions and services. Your responsibilities include ensuring services are delivered as required, working with third parties to provide infrastructure services, and implementing modern standards approaches. You will take ownership of issues until resolution, investigate and contribute to problem management, and focus on service delivery aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Build, configure, administer, and support various infrastructure technologies and solutions - Develop proficiency in modern standards approaches and apply them to your work - Take ownership of issues and initiative until resolution - Investigate and contribute to problem management - Establish solutions that align with business objectives based on stakeholder inputs - Design systems, develop scripting tools, and automate infrastructure management tasks - Integrate systems, troubleshoot problems, and ensure system reliability and performance - Apply SRE principles, enhance IT infrastructure reliability, and design incident response strategies - Integrate OT systems with enterprise IT environments and ensure cybersecurity - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across IT and OT domains - Identify and mitigate information security risks within solutions and services Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field - Proven experience in infrastructure engineering or a related role - Experience with network administration, server management, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms - Proficiency in network protocols, scripting, automation, and problem-solving skills - Ability to analyze system performance, optimize, and mitigate security risks - Strong understanding of server and storage systems - Familiarity with virtualization technologies and compliance standards Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, Microsoft Certified, AWS Certified, Azure Solutions Expert) - Experience with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code tools, and compliance understanding At Bayer, we are committed to higher productivity, faster innovation, and better results through Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO).
