Job Description

Manager or Senior Manager Procurement

Manage the
entire procurement lifecycle
from vendor identification, RFQs, tendering, negotiations, to order placement.
Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules and budgets.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and subcontractors for civil, mechanical, and electrical items.
Ensure procurement is in compliance with
contractual terms, company policies, and regulatory norms
.
Handle procurement of key materials like cement, steel, bitumen, aggregates, equipment, MEP items, etc.
Negotiate commercial terms and conditions and drive
cost savings
without compromising quality.
Coordinate closely with project, planning, stores, accounts, and legal teams.
Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, quality compliance, and service levels.
Prepare procurement MIS, dashboards, reports, and cost control documents for senior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical); MBA in Supply Chain/Operations is a plus.
10–15+ years of experience in procurement for
infrastructure, EPC, or construction projects
.
Strong understanding of procurement practices, commercial evaluation, and contract administration.
Proficient in MS Excel, SAP / ERP systems, and e-procurement tools.
Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously under tight deadlines.
