Manager - Scrap Segregation Plant - Copper

As the Plant Manager for the Scrap Segregation Plant, your role is crucial in leading and managing all plant operations to ensure operational, maintenance, and quality objectives are met safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for setting strategic directions, managing production targets, budgeting, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee all plant operations including scrap reception, segregation, shredding, and baling processes - Ensure production targets are consistently met while optimizing resource utilization - Develop and execute annual and long-term business plans aligning with strategic goals - Identify and implement projects for capacity expansion, process optimization, and technological upgrades - Manage and mentor the entire plant team across various functions - Develop, manage, and monitor the plant's annual budget - Drive cost-reduction initiatives and ensure financial performance meets targets - Champion a robust safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environment (SHE) policies - Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Metallurgical). MBA or Masters degree in a relevant field is highly desirable. - Experience: 12+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing or process industry with leadership roles overseeing plant operations. Experience in metals or recycling facility is advantageous. - Skills: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills. Proficiency in plant operations, maintenance, and quality systems. - Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification is highly valued for driving continuous improvement.,
