Role Overview: As the Manager - SCM and Logistics at Sterlite Power Transmission Limited, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in managing domestic and international logistics, transporter performance, procurement of Steel Drums & PP Sheets, returnable steel drums management, P2P audits, and freight operations. Your critical responsibility will be to ensure smooth and cost-effective logistics flow while handling high-pressure timelines, particularly during month-end dispatch surges. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute daily and month-end dispatch schedules efficiently based on the sales plan. - Handle peak-period pressure, especially during month-end shipping loads, ensuring accuracy and timelines are not compromised. - Drive freight auctions, negotiate rates, and manage transporter performance effectively. - Co-ordinate with PPC for Quarterly Plan, Monthly Plan & arrange steel drums as per the requirements. - Provide Freight & Packing cost to Sales Team for bidding. - Procure drums, PP sheets as per the plan. - Maintain visibility over returnable drums through regular tracking and reconciliation. - Manage export shipments, including documentation, customs clearance, and booking with freight forwarders. Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in managing domestic and international logistics, transporter performance, and procurement processes. - Strong understanding of P2P audits, freight operations, and customs clearance procedures. - Proficiency in coordinating with various departments for supply chain optimization. - Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation and coordination with external stakeholders. - Ability to handle high-pressure timelines and manage peak-period shipping loads efficiently.
