As a Procurement Manager at a market leader in energy efficient air technology and HVAC solutions, your role will involve spearheading and leading the plant procurement to ensure a smooth flow of raw materials and bought out parts for the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Your key responsibilities will include: - Purchasing commodities such as steel, copper, and aluminum. - Managing the import of electronic components from UK, Europe, Vietnam, Malaysia, and compressors from Thailand. - Floating inquiries, obtaining quotations, preparing cost sheets, and BOQ for various parts. - Negotiating and finalizing prices with Department Managers and approving vendor development for job work. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - BE in Mechanical Engineering. - 15 years of plant purchase exposure with oversight of an annual spend of 150 Crores. - Experience in managing commodity purchases like steel, copper, and aluminum. - Knowledge of import processes. - Procurement expertise in controllers, panels, isolators, fans, drives, condensers, and evaporator units. - Demonstrated leadership skills in leading a team effectively.
