Job Description

Review and evaluate complex loan applications within defined credit guidelines and take decisions or recommend cases to higher authorities as required.
Underwrite proposals in line with approved policies and procedures to meet SLAs and support city/area business volume targets.
Conduct personal discussions with applicants to determine creditworthiness and ensure thorough completion of KYC, income documents, and verification processes including telephonic, field, and collateral checks.
Assess financial parameters such as income-to-obligation ratios, loan-to-value ratios, and other key credit metrics, with a clear understanding of their long-term impact on loan performance.
Maintain and update Portfolio MIS, Delinquency MIS, and other operational MIS reports for the cluster and provide timely reporting.
Build strong relationships with third-party service providers to ensure smooth processing and improved client outcomes.
Address and resolve client queries by leveraging industry knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Maintain high service quality standards and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Conduct detailed reviews of credit proposals to highlight risks related to industry, business model, financials, management profile, and facility structure.
Ensure adequate collateral coverage and risk mitigation measures to support approval decision-making.
Enable quick turnaround of mortgage credit proposals (loan against property and home loans) by working closely with the sales team.
Perform periodic reviews of existing credit exposures to ensure continued creditworthiness and portfolio health.
Oversee documentation quality from pre-sanction to post-disbursement stage while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy norms.
Manage the overall credit underwriting function for the assigned branch and coordinate with local credit analysts and sales teams for seamless processing.
Follow up and support the recovery of early delinquency (quick mortality) cases between 1218 MOV to control credit losses.
