Job Description

As a Manager- Quality at Tenneco, your role will involve heading and ensuring Quality Functions in the Plant located in Pithampur. You will report to the Plant Manager and lead a team of 15 members. You will work closely with the Production Department to maintain quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring Customer Rejection PPM within the Target - Ensuring FG Parts Inspection as per plan - Ensuring FG Parts Quality as per Quality Plan - Communicating and obtaining countermeasures from Production Department for Quality - Maintaining Mean time between Receipt to Clearance of FG Parts - Maintaining all relevant documents and standards required for Firewall Quality - Ensuring Dock audit before Part Delivery - Conducting FML Inspection and ensuring Product & Process online - Conducting meetings as per the plan and communicating the issues - Facilitating rework or segregation by production for any quality issues - Updating rejection Data and communicating to all concerned - Running SPC for all FG Parts and plotting the results and communicating to all concerned - Providing guidance and leadership to key quality staff - Providing leadership and management in the areas of ISO and TS certification - Ensuring all products are in compliance with customer requirements and specifications - Managing the quality documentation and files required by the company and customers - Training and developing an appreciation of TQM within the organization to ensure quality is instilled throughout the operation - Verifying compliance to standards - Supporting and educating the company on the cost of quality concept - Maintaining and tracking all required documents on various products and materials - Keeping a close track of internal audits being conducted - Updating the board regarding TS 16949, ASES, Q1MSA activities - Handling IATF 16949 activities and being responsible for activities mentioned in the procedure - Ensuring the Warranty Claims are within the Target - Maintaining Response time to Customer for any issues as per the 8D Clauses Desired Competencies/Skills: - Authorized to Reject or Hold the non-conforming products observed at any Shop floor production - Authorized to Communicate the Rejection Details Production and Internal only - Authorized to raise Purchase requests - Authorized to Approve FML Inspection reports - Authorized to Prepare Firewall reports - Authorized to Prepare Inspection reports - Authorized to Prepare Penetration reports - Experienced in Welding & Stamping Industries Ideal candidate experience: - M.E / B.E / D.M.E (Mechanical, Automobile, Production Engineering) with 15-20 years of experience from a reputable organization. Skills and capabilities: - Good Communication and interpersonal skills - Sound knowledge of Quality systems Qualifications/ certifications: - M.E / B.E / D.M.E (Mechanical, Automobile, Production Engineering),
