Manager - Project Engineering

Role Overview: As a Lead - Engineering for LANXESS PTSE, you will be part of a potential Engineering excellence centre in India focused on delivering best-in-class Project Engineering solutions and Technical Sourcing support to local and global projects/sites of Lanxess. Your role will involve managing and executing capital investment projects, providing technical sourcing support, documentation support, coordination and supervision of engineers/subject matter experts, and supporting the establishment and development of the Engineering Excellence centre in India. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and execute capital investment projects throughout all phases, ensuring maintenance or improvement of LXS assets - Execute concept, basic & detailed design of identified Capex and improvement projects, focusing on key success factors of Safety, Quality, Time, and cost - Provide Technical sourcing support to global projects/sites of Lanxess from India to create value through low-cost country sourcing initiative - Offer documentation support by converting hard copies into soft copies and preparing as-built documents - Coordinate and supervise internal and external engineers/subject matter experts, discipline representatives, and contractors - Support the establishment and development of Engineering Excellence centre in India by developing/adapting standards, workflows, procedures, tools, and templates, ensuring compliance with LXS Guideline RL-0036 and utilizing the LXS-Project Management Standard Qualifications Required: - Specific Education: Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering degree or higher - Work Experience: 15+ years of experience - Special Skills: Leadership Experience, International Experience preferred, Strategic Thinking, Decisiveness, Drive Additional Details about LANXESS: LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals group that develops and produces chemical intermediates, additives, specialty chemicals, and high-tech plastics.
