Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Prepare and maintain detailed
product costing sheets
for various metal products (extrusions, castings, sheets, rods, alloys, etc.).
Analyze
raw material costs (aluminium, copper, steel, alloys)
, direct/indirect labor, power & fuel, overheads, and other variable/fixed expenses.
Conduct
variance analysis
between standard cost, actual cost, and budgeted cost; identify reasons for deviations.
Work closely with
procurement, production, and finance teams
to gather cost inputs and validate accuracy.
Monitor impact of
commodity price fluctuations
(metal prices, scrap value, etc.) on product costing.
Provide costing support for
new product development (NPD)
and prepare cost estimates for quotations & tenders.
Ensure compliance with
costing standards, audit requirements, and internal controls
.
Develop
cost models and profitability analysis
for decision-making by management.
Assist in preparation of
monthly MIS, budgets, and forecasts
related to costing.
Continuously identify opportunities for
cost reduction and process improvements
.
