Manager - Procurement

JD :

The procurement sub-contractor is responsible for managing the subcontractor procurement process, sourcing materials and coordinating with civil subcontractors to meet project specifications, timelines and budgets. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of the civil consstrcution industry and ability to maintain effective subcontractor relationships to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Indentify and evaluate potential civil subcontractors based on project needs, budget constraints and compliance with company standards.

2. Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs and RFI to qualified subcontractors.

3. Conduct pre-qualification assessments and shortlist vendors based on technical expertise, financial health and past project performance.

4.Negotiate terms, pricing and contractual obligations with subcontractors to ensure cost effective and timely delivery.

5.Draft, review and finalize subcontract agreements, ensuring they meet legal and regulatory standards as well as project specific requirements.

6.Manage change orders and variations to contracts as required.

7.Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with project specifications, quality standards safety requirements.

8.Address any subcontractor issues or delays promptly to maintain project timelines.

9.Monitor and report on costs associated with subcontractor services to ensure alignment with project budgets.

Experience and qualification required:

6 -15 years of experience in Procurement, sourcing or contract management within the civil construction industry.

B.E/B.Tech (Civil Engineering) preferred

Experience managing subcontractor relationships in civil projects (roads, bridges, buildings, infrastructure) is highly preferred.

Key skills:

Ability to manage multiple subcontractor relationships and ensure on time, quality delivery.

Willingness to travel to project sits as needed.
