Role Objective

New Product Development (NPD) Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Formulation & Innovation

• Lead the end-to-end development of

  Modern Cosmetics

  , focusing on innovative textures, high-performance ingredients, and "clean beauty" trends.
• Oversee the formulation of diverse product categories, including

  Skin Care

  (serums, creams, cleansers),

  Hair Care

  (shampoos, oils, masks), and

  Personal Care

  (body washes, hygiene products).
• Stay ahead of market trends to introduce "first-to-market" concepts and reformulate existing products for improved efficacy and cost-optimization.

2. Regulatory & Quality Compliance

• Ensure all formulations meet

  AYUSH

  (Ayurvedic/Herbal) and cosmetic regulatory requirements for domestic and international markets.
• Maintain rigorous documentation for

  GMP

  (Good Manufacturing Practices) and

  cGMP

  (current Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Collaborate with

  Regulatory Affairs

  teams to manage product registration, ingredient safety assessments, and labeling compliance.

3. Lab-to-Plant Scale-up

• Manage the transition of formulations from lab-scale (R&D) to commercial-scale production.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to stability, viscosity, or batch consistency during the pilot phase.

Masters or Ph.D. in Cosmetic Technology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field.

Experience

1020 years in Cosmetics R&D/NPD, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
