Manager Machine Learning Engineering

As an AI Lead/Manager located in Chennai, you will be responsible for designing and developing machine learning software solutions primarily for semiconductor device and thin film metrology. You will work closely with internal and external customers to gather requirements, build machine learning-based software solutions, and optimize algorithms for efficient implementation. Your role will also involve extending prototypes into fully functional solutions ready for internal or external use, implementing solutions using Python with TensorFlow, and providing technical support during testing phases. To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong background in machine learning, particularly using regression models and the TensorFlow framework. Additionally, experience in software architecture, modern development practices, design patterns, and writing production-quality, object-oriented code in Python or C# is required. Knowledge of parallel/distributed computing, performance profiling, and memory optimization is essential. Experience in API development and Azure DevOps is advantageous, along with familiarity in computational physics, numerical simulations, semiconductors, and electromagnetics. Candidates with at least 2 years of team leadership or management experience in machine learning algorithm engineering are preferred. The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related computational field with corresponding years of experience. Candidates from Tier-1 colleges like IIT, IIIT, VIT, NIT with a background in AI/ML/DL and product company experience will be highly considered for this role. Furthermore, the ability and willingness to travel worldwide to support projects at customer sites are beneficial. You will be expected to document the design and implementation of software solutions, conduct presentations internally and externally, and maintain new and existing software solutions throughout their life cycle. Your responsibilities will encompass software architecture, unit testing, API development, memory optimization, and more, ensuring the delivery of high-quality machine learning solutions in the field of semiconductor device and thin film metrology.
