Description
The Manager - Insurance role at Sterlite Electric requires a dynamic individual with expertise in managing and optimizing insurance programs for renewable energy projects. The individual will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout all stages of project lifecycles. This includes development, construction, operations, and maintenance phases. To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should hold an MBA in Finance/Insurance from a premier institute and possess 5-7 years of relevant experience in the Renewable Energy sector or with large Corporates, Investment Banks, Private Equity Funds, or Big 4 firms. Additionally, domain experience in the Power/Transmission/Infrastructure industry is essential. A strong understanding of solar, wind, and other renewable energy technologies, as well as familiarity with the Indian Insurance Market and insurance products, is also required. Key responsibilities of the role include managing the renewal process for various insurance policies such as Property All Risks, Business Interruption, Marine Cargo, Construction All Risks, Public Liability, and Cyber Insurance. The Manager will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating policy wordings, terms, and conditions to ensure optimal coverage and competitive pricing while complying with local and international insurance regulations and company policies. Moreover, conducting risk assessments for new and existing projects and overseeing the claims process are crucial aspects of the role.
