Manager, Indirect Sourcing

Role Overview: As an Indirect Sourcing, Category Execution Leader for Facilities, Logistics, and Security at News Corp Global Sourcing Organization, you will aim to unlock value for News Corp by bringing speed, efficiency, and security to buying across all business units. You will partner deeply with stakeholders to deliver solutions fit for purpose, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Execute the category strategy for assigned categories, collaborating with key stakeholders, team members, and leaders affected by the respective category. - Have in-depth knowledge of sourcing for key categories including Facilities Management, Logistics Services, and Physical/Digital Security. - Initiate sourcing projects following structured management methods and principles to execute complex, long-term category management and strategic sourcing initiatives. - Provide input to the Category Performance framework and provide metrics related to category performance and continuously track & monitor. - Execute clear, structured negotiations following the Global Sourcing and Procurement Category Management and Strategic Sourcing methodologies. - Populate the category cards detailing overall category strategies, preferred suppliers, and business unit requirements for execution; execute to ensure category health is tracking per strategy/goals/plan. - Support the strategies & targets set by the Category Head & Category Leader. - Identify areas of opportunity to reduce waste and establish reduction targets; Identify and execute implementation of continuous improvement/cost. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred. - Minimum 8 years of global sourcing experience. - Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated track record in people management leadership experience is required. - Minimum 2-3 years of sourcing transformation experience (e.g., significant prior experience in all elements of sourcing and category management). - Certification in Procurement such as CPSM or CSCP, preferred. - Knowledge & experience of handling Indirect Sourcing categories with a specific focus on Facilities, Logistics, and Security Services is required. - Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization, and works easily in multi-business unit project settings; able to facilitate teamwork across corporate & geographical boundaries. - Contract drafting experience as well as an excellent understanding of contractual terms, both commercially and legally.
