Manager - HSE

Role Overview: As the HSE Manager at LANXESS, your main responsibility will be to ensure the health and safety of employees, minimize the organization's environmental impact, and ensure legal compliance in all aspects related to health, safety, and the environment. You will play a crucial role in creating a safe and sustainable working environment by collaborating with various functions, contractors, transporters, and shop floor employees to implement LANXESS directives effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure adherence to HSE laws and LANXESS directives (Xact, Laxcore) in coordination with DISH, MPPCB, SDM, and other authorities. - Promote safety ownership across all levels, including employees, contractors, transporters, and shop-floor teams. - Implement audit recommendations and close compliance gaps through regular follow-ups. - Monitor on-site and off-site transport safety with logistics and tank farm teams. - Plan and execute annual HSE training for employees and contract workers based on job roles. - Drive green belt initiatives and compliance with MOEF/CPCB/MPPCB norms. Ensure proper hazardous waste disposal and functioning of CEMS/AAQMS systems. - Maintain emergency equipment, update emergency plans, and conduct regular mock drills. - Oversee health center operations and ensure regular medical check-ups for all personnel. - Conduct JSAs, manage near-miss reporting, lead RCAs, and implement corrective actions. - Analyze safety trends, lead HSE walkthroughs, and implement proactive improvements. - Ensure effective PTW implementation and routine audits. Qualification Required: - Specific Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. with chemistry/ Diploma/ BE with chemical engineering + PG Diploma in Industrial safety - Work Experience: 10 years" experience Additional Information: LANXESS offers competitive compensation packages, inclusive of a global bonus program and an individual performance bonus program.
