Role Overview

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing and streamlining fleet operations, coordinating with drivers, reducing enroute and repair costs, and improving vehicle running efficiency. This role demands strong leadership, deep operational knowledge, and hands-on experience in managing large fleet logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day fleet operations across assigned zones or hubs.
• Increase vehicle running efficiency by minimizing idle time and optimizing load planning.
• Reduce enroute expenses such as fuel, tolls, fines, and lodging through effective monitoring.
• Manage and control vehicle repair and maintenance costs by working with approved workshops/vendors.
• Supervise driver scheduling, deployment, performance, and grievance redressal.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs.
• Generate and analyze reports for vehicle utilization, expenses, and repair turnaround time.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners for smooth trip execution.
• Support in training and onboarding of new drivers.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in fleet/logistics/transport operations.
• Proven experience in vehicle utilization, repair cost management, and enroute expense control.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for managing drivers and vendor relations.
• Hands-on experience with fleet management software and GPS tracking tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors or Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, Logistics, or Operations Management graduate.
• Experience in managing medium to large-sized fleets (200+ vehicles) is preferred.
