Key Responsibilities
Month End Close (MEC) Activities
oCoordinate with cross-functional teams in collecting inputs to complete the month end close tasks timely and accuratelyoPosting revenue accruals, cost provisions, amortization of intangibles and prepayments, and deferralsoChart of account maintenance (COA)oRecording revenue recognition entriesoIntercompany entries and eliminationsoPayroll and benefits accountingoForeign exchange (FX) revaluation and translationoInventory adjustments and cost of goods sold (COGS) entriesoAllocations (shared services, overhead, etc.)oPreparing, Reviewing and Posting journal entriesoRunning trial balances and P&L reviewsoPreparing management reports and financial statements Reconciliations
oBalance Sheet / GL account reconciliationsSubledger vs. General Ledger reconciliations (Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accruals, Provisions, Prepaid, GRIR, FX gain/loss etc.)oBank reconciliationsoIntercompany reconciliations (receivables/payables)oClearing suspense and unmatched transactionsoInvestigate and document the reasons for variance and open items and action plan to resolve itoTrack and clear open items in a timely and accurate manneroReporting and escalation to resolve open items Journal Entries (JEs)
oPrepare of JE templates with supporting documentation (utilities, rent, payroll, bonuses, interest, etc.)oRecord recurring accrualsoPrepaid expense amortizationoDepreciation & amortization entriesoReclassification and allocation entriesoIntercompany entries (charges, allocations, eliminations)oNon-Recurring/Ad-hoc JEsManual corrections/adjustments (error corrections, reclassifications); One-time project or event-related entries; Restructuring/severance provisionsoPeriod-end accruals and provisionsoDeferrals and revenue recognition adjustmentsoUploading and posting into ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.)oValidation against accounting policies (US GAAP/local GAAP/IFRS) Project Accounting
oSetting up projects, work breakdown structures (WBS), and cost centersoCapturing direct costs (labor, materials, overhead, subcontracting)oAllocation of indirect costsoRevenue recognition for projects (percentage of completion, milestone, or completed contract)oCapitalization of qualifying costs (if applicable)oMonitoring budgets vs. actuals (cost overruns, utilization rates)oBilling and invoicing clients for project-related workoProject margin and profitability reportingoClosing projects and transferring balances (to P&L or Fixed Assets, if capital projects) Fixed Assets Accounting
oAsset master data creation and maintenanceoCapitalization of assets (from purchases or projects-in-progress)oCalculation and posting of depreciation, amortization, and impairmentsoAdditions, disposal, transfers, and retirement accounting (including gain/loss on sale)oRevaluation and adjustments for currency/market valueoReconciliation of FA subledger to GLoRunning month-end FA close reports Business Partnering
oProvide analytical support to business leaders, translating financial results into meaningful insights.oWork with stakeholders across functions to support decision-making and operational efficiency. Process Improvement
oSupport initiatives to streamline forecasting, reporting, and analysis processes (Agile, Design Thinking, Value stream Mapping, Lean, Six-sigma).oLeverage technology and tools (BI tools, Artificial Intelligence, Agentic) to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
oMonitor KPIs, highlight trends, and identify risks or improvement opportunities. Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; progress toward an advanced degree or certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, ACCA) is a plus.6-8 years of hands-on experience in the R2R space (excluding Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables activities)Strong financial and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros).Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Peoplesoft or similar), Blackline and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred technical and professional experience Proactive and ambitious individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Exposure to high-precision industries or manufacturing operations will be an added advantageAbility to manage tight timelines and competing priorities effectively.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams.Experience in process improvement, automation, and applying technology to financial analysis.
