Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Budgeting:

    a. Perform financial and operational analyses to support planning activities. b. Analyze historical data, identify trends, and study business and market dynamics to translate insights into budgets and forecasts.
  • Forecasting & Performance Analysis:

    a. Regularly monitor actual performance versus budget and forecast, identifying variances and explaining key drivers. b. Engage with business teams to review variances and follow up on agreed action plans to ensure actuals remain aligned with budgets and forecasts. c. Conduct in-depth financial analysis of key performance metrics (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Management Reporting:

    Prepare and submit Management P&L and Balance Sheet with variance analysis against budgets and actuals, and collaborate with stakeholders on appropriate actions or decisions.
  • Financial Statements:

    Prepare consolidated financial statements, as well as entity-wise and line-of-business (LOB) financial statements.
  • Accounting Standards Knowledge:

    Possess a strong understanding of books of accounts, P&L, and Balance Sheet under IFRS/Ind AS; familiarity with US GAAP is an added advantage.
  • Cash & Working Capital Management:

    Prepare monthly working capital, cash flow, and fund flow statements.
  • Monthly Reporting:

    Compile and prepare data for monthly dashboards and reports.
  • Data Modeling:

    Develop data models and run simulations across various dimensions to support business planning.
  • Strategic Decision Support:

    Provide financial modeling and analytical support for strategic initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with relevant accounting and financial modeling software.
  • Advanced Excel and VBA skills; experience with databases (Access, SQL) and Power BI is a plus.
  • Experienced in managing platform changes from a data perspective.
  • Strong customer orientation (internal and external) with a broad understanding of overall business operations.

Educational qualifications:

Bachelors degree in commerce

Professional qualification:

Qualified CA with 4+ years / Semi/ complete CMA with 8+ years experience
