Role Overview: You are Ivanti's ideal candidate for the position of Software Engineering Manager. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of Java developers to define and execute the strategy for multiple product releases. Your responsibilities will include overseeing application development, maintenance, and support, guiding the design and deployment of Java-based solutions, establishing coding standards and best practices, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, you will stay current with the latest Java technologies and industry trends to keep the team innovative. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of Java developers, guiding them in application development, maintenance, and support. - Guide the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable Java-based solutions aligned with business needs. - Work with stakeholders and other departments to define project scope and deliverables, fostering a collaborative environment. - Establish and enforce coding standards through regular code reviews, ensuring high-quality software. - Mentor and coach team members, providing technical guidance for their professional growth. - Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget by managing resources effectively. - Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within applications. - Responsible for resource allocation, hiring, training, and overall team development. - Stay updated with the latest Java technologies and tools to keep the team innovative. - Serve as a technical escalation point, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues as they arise. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 12-14 years of overall experience with a minimum of 3-4 years managing multi-disciplinary development teams in Java development. - Strong proficiency in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and building RESTful APIs. - Hands-on experience with Kafka for data pipelines, Redis for caching, and real-time data processing. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure preferred. - Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular or React is a plus. - Project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies. - Prioritization, multitasking, and effective project management skills. - Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.,
