Manager : Design - Road & Bridge / Road & Bridge Design Engineer

Will be responsible to perform below tasks related to Road Design, Highway Design , Bridge Design

1. Leading a team of Senior Engineers & draftsman for in-house design & design coordination of 6-Laning BOQ road Projects including but not limited to finalisation of design basis report, designing & checking design of substructure, foundation and superstructure for structures like bridges, flyovers, ROB, Vehicular & Pedestrian Underpasses, Culverts, retaining wall etc.
2. Job responsibilities also include design of formworks & enabling structures like supporting foundation for in-situ formwork, cofferdam construction, gantry foundation etc.
3. Management & circulation of drawings & design documents and maintain a system which is internally audited.
4. Reviewing geotechnical investigation reports of confirmatory bore holes and indicate deviation if any to the Client.
5. In house design support for required deviations at site from GFC and procuring approval from Clients Engineer / Project Management Consultant (PMC).
6. Preparation of method statement in consultation with execution team, fleets & resources team, safety department and procuring approval from PMC.
7. Reviewing GFC drawings received from PMC, check for interaction of different item of works, correctness & raise queries for missing information.
8. Review GFC drawings to spot deviation from contract agreement & notifying contract team for Change of Scope & EOT.
9. Supporting Contract & Planning team in identifying the scope of claims, quantification of variation claims, delay analysis & EOT claims.
10. Coordinate & discuss with concerned Authorities of intervening utility within ROW like Transmission line Tower etc. to make provision in design within contract scope or preparation of COS proposal.
11. Supporting execution team with proposal of alternative material & methods and acquiring approval for the same from PMC for seamless execution at site.
12. Day-to-day coordination with construction team for ensuring compliance with GFC drawings & smooth execution.
13. Coordination with manufacturer for design of bearings, check designs & procure approval from PMC.
14. Coordination with segment launching team / specialised contractor for design checks of permanent work and methodology approval.
15. Coordination with all related item of works viz. highway lighting, toll plaza facilities etc. for preparation & finalisation of proposal.
16. Design & drawing checking and procuring approval of RE wall drawings prepared by specialised subcontractor.
17. Liaise with multiple point of contacts viz. all internal stakeholders (Planning, quality, SCM, Contracts, Execution, Engineering / CMOP team of Head office) and external stakeholders like Design Consultant, Geotechnical Consultant, Proof Consultant (IIT), & finally Authority's Engineer for review, approval & expedited execution & completion of work.
