4D BIM Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

1. 4D Model Development & Management

• Develop and maintain 4D BIM models by integrating time data with 3D models to simulate construction sequencing and project timelines.
• Review 4D models for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Verify compatibility of different file formats for seamless 4D simulation.
• Generate detailed 4D reports and visualizations to support project planning and stakeholder communication.

2. Coordination & Reporting

• Collaborate with construction teams, engineers, and project leads to understand requirements and constraints.
• Attend and manage coordination meetings, presenting 4D models and progress updates.
• Update and administer coordination registers, documentation, and project records.
• Provide weekly look-ahead plans and progress reports to project leads and stakeholders.
• Support tender submissions and prepare 4D BIM deliverables.

3. Workflow & CDE Management

• Define and manage BIM workflows for clients, ensuring efficiency and compliance with standards.
• Administer and manage the

  Common Data Environment (CDE)

  to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
• Ensure BIM models are up-to-date and aligned with project standards and guidelines.

4. Training & Innovation

• Train project personnel in the use of BIM tools and workflows to improve project delivery.
• Promote BIM awareness and capability development across project teams.
• Advise the organisation on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends relevant to 4D BIM.

5. Support to BIM Management Team

• Assist the BIM Management team with ongoing tasks and project-specific requirements.
• Support costing and estimation of 4D BIM projects.
• Monitor team performance daily and prepare reports to support monthly invoicing.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Essential

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in

  4D BIM modelling and simulation

  within construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in

  Fuzor

  and Synchro

  software.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows, CDE management, and project information standards.
• Experience in construction sequencing, logistics planning, and project scheduling.

2. Technical Skills

• Familiarity with BIM coordination platforms (e.g., Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Strong IT proficiency and digital literacy.
• Ability to generate and interpret 4D reports and visualizations.

3. Professional Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
