We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steel Modeler with over 5 years of proven expertise in steel detailing and modeling for structural steel projects in the UK and Ireland along with some exposure to projects from USA & Canada. The ideal candidate will be proficient in tools like Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools, and must have a strong understanding of regional steel detailing standards and practices. Roles and Responsibilities Create accurate and detailed 3D steel models using Tekla Structures. Prepare fabrication and erection drawings, GA drawings, and material lists based on project requirements. Ensure that all models and drawings comply with UK and Ireland steel detailing standards (BS, Eurocodes, etc.). Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and resolve design issues. Perform clash detection and resolve interface conflicts using BIM coordination tools. Generate and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs), reports, and deliverables aligned with fabrication schedules. Participate in model reviews and contribute to the overall quality assurance of project outputs. Maintain documentation and version control of models and drawings as per company standards. Necessary Requirement B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Steel Modeler in structural steel projects. Proficiency in Tekla Structures is mandatory. Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM workflows and tools. Prior experience working on UK and Ireland-based steel projects is essential. Strong knowledge of UK and Irish steel detailing standards, including understanding of BS and Eurocode guidelines. Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings accurately. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
