Role & responsibilities

• Lead the

  end-to-end electrical design process

  for SPMs, including control panel design, schematics, layouts, and cable routing.
• Review and approve electrical designs, ensuring

  compliance with IEC, UL, CE

  , and other relevant industry standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with

  mechanical, controls, software, and manufacturing teams

  to ensure optimal system integration and design feasibility.

• Supervise and mentor

  a team of electrical engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Drive

  component selection

  (PLCs, drives, HMIs, safety devices, etc.) based on application requirements and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with

  vendors, panel builders

  , and field teams for fabrication, assembly, and wiring quality control.
• Lead

  FAT/SAT

  processes, on-site commissioning, and resolve electrical issues during testing and production ramp-up.
• Ensure thorough and accurate project documentation, including BOMs, as-built drawings, risk assessments, and change logs.
• Continuously

  optimize designs

  for performance, reliability, safety, and cost-efficiency.
• Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, or processes to improve engineering productivity and design quality.

Preferred candidate profile

BE/ B.Tech with minimum 5- 6 years experience in Electrical design.

• Proficient in

  AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN

  , or other professional CAD platforms for electrical design.
• Solid understanding of

  power and control circuits

  , safety standards (SIL, PL), and machine design principles.
• Strong knowledge of

  industrial communication protocols

  (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, CAN).
• Hands-on experience with

  control systems integration

  , including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and safety devices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Excellent

  problem-solving skills

  , leadership capabilities, and a detail-oriented mind-set.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder collaboration.
