Job Description

Manager - Debt Management Services - Mortgages
Job Purpose
The Debt Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts. Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agencies.

Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates and proper guidelines.

Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.

Travel with the Recovery Officers (ROs) as required.

Timely allocation of cases among team members.

Should be proficient in Excel.

Daily tracking of the performance of team members.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.

Daily DRR (Daily Risk Report) management.

Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.

Counsel and groom direct reportees to enhance and polish their skill sets.

Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.

Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.

Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve collection performance.

Legal recovery for Urban NPL Wheels (Vehicle Finance) repo and legal management.

Litigation and case management.

Compliance and risk mitigation.

Reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in debt collection or recovery, preferably in mortgages or vehicle finance.

Proficiency in Excel and daily performance tracking.

Experience in legal recovery, litigation, and case management.

Strong team management skills and ability to counsel and develop team members.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to travel as required for customer or agency visits.

Understanding of compliance and risk mitigation in debt management processes.

Strong reporting and documentation skills.
