Manager, Data Engineering

As the Manager, Data Engineering at Assent, you will lead a team of specialists in data engineering to develop key products and features for Assent and its customers. Your main responsibilities will include: - Recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing team - Coaching the team to deliver high-quality, scalable software to address key business problems - Coordinating and allocating work among the team - Driving delivery and ensuring product quality You will also be responsible for establishing rapport with other teams in the product value chain, such as Product Management, User Experience, Quality Assurance, Customer Success, and Infrastructure. Your role will involve visualizing upcoming work, managing product releases, and ensuring the team follows Assent's design, coding, and security guidelines. To excel in this role, you should have: - At least 10 years of progressive experience in a data-focused role - A proven track record in a leadership position - Strong mentoring and coaching skills - Technical expertise in AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Python, SQL, and handling large volumes of unstructured data - A growth mindset, organizational skills, adaptability, and a strategic approach to business challenges Assent values talent, energy, and passion.
