Essential Skills:

Good knowledge of Control Valve/ Choke and instrumentation.

Proficient in doing design calculations and good knowledge in GD&T, tolerance stack up

analysis.

Proficient with PED & API 6A product development.

Shall be conversant with various standards e.g. ANSI/ ASME/ API/ EN/ ISO related with

control valve.

To be able to perform the contract review for the technical aspects of every Order.

Sound knowledge of AutoCAD required and good knowledge of 3D software e.g. Inventor/

Pro-E etc is desirable.

Ability to work in a team and monitor the work of the team members.

Systematic work planning and adherence to department procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of design professionals on various

projects on product development and application engineering and ensure that the KPI of

your team is maintained.

• Preparing and checking engineering drawings with all details.
• Finalizing specifications of materials and processes to achieve final product quality.
• Value Engineering reduction in weight and optimization of existing products, Standardization

of design and New product development.

• Ability to generate multiple concepts and suggest various solutions for a requirement
• Build prototypes for concept approval.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Systems and implementation of QMS in technical department
• Support to back-office on technical aspects and also to provide technical support to

manufacturing and other departments as needed.

Essential Skills:

• Demonstrated hands on experience in trunnion mounted, floating, metal seated and soft seated ball valve design
• Leading small team of engineers for development and post order execution of ball valves and other rotary valves
• Checking the team member's work, guide and train. Developing junior team members to make them contribute more
• Demonstrated ability to plan, co-ordinate and execute ball valve projects based on customer orders and valve data sheets
• Review and release the GAD, BOM in ERP against customer orders, release detailed drawings, handling revisions and customer comments.
• Creating technical literature like catalogues, brochures, IOMs etc
• Troubleshooting factory testing, suggesting improvements, implementing lessons and also solving field problems.
• Supporting sales team in technical negotiation with customer
• New product development, planning/conducting tests, existing product improvement, cost reduction of the products
• Expertise on the calculations related to ball valves and other rotary valves
• Expertise of international codes and standards related to ball valves and other rotary valves (API/ASME/ASTM/ANSI/EN/IEC etc)
• Software skills: AutoCAD and any other 3D software like Solidworks

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated hands on experience in double offset and triple offset butterfly valves
• Design experience of other rotary valves like segmented ball valves, raising stem ball valves etc
• Sound understanding of associated materials & manufacturing processes used in rotary valves.
• Exposure to instrumentation for actuators of pneumatic, hydraulic and electric controls.
• Product testing, prepare and plan for the test, test set up, results evaluation, report writing, implementation
• Training other department personnel on the technical skills

• Excellent documentation & report writing skills with fluency in MS Office tools
• Ability to travel locally, nationally or internationally when required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
