Position Overview

GLP/GMP practices

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct laboratory experiments for synthesis and process development of APIs and key intermediates
  
• Perform reaction monitoring and troubleshoot experiments to improve yield and product quality
  
• Record experimental procedures, data and observations accurately in

  Laboratory Notebooks (LNBs)

  and

  Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs)

  in compliance with GDP
• Assist in data analysis using instruments like

  HPLC, GC, IR, NMR, UV-Vis

  , etc.
• Support

  scale-up and technology transfer

  from R&D to pilot plant/manufacturing unit
• Conduct literature surveys and patent searches to evaluate feasibility and suggest improvements in synthetic routes
  
• Follow

  GLP, GMP, ICH guidelines

  and internal SOPs at all times
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and maintain overall lab safety and housekeeping
  
• Support validation activities and regulatory documentation when required
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, QC, EHS and Production
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry (B.Sc / M.Sc) or related field preferred
  
• Diploma/Certification in Pharmaceutical or Organic Chemistry is an added advantage
  
• Minimum

  1 year of experience

  in API R&D / Pharmaceutical / Chemical laboratory

Essential Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms

• Familiarity with analytical techniques –

  HPLC, GC, IR, NMR, UV

• Understanding of

  GLP, GMP & ICH guidelines

• Good documentation skills (GDP compliance)
  
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, documentation tools)
