In this role, you will lead the organisation s social media strategy crafting compelling stories, driving meaningful engagement, and ensuring consistent brand representation. Your creativity, strategic thinking, and deep understanding of content and digital platforms will be instrumental in expanding our reach and amplifying our impact.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage day-to-day handling of all social media platforms content calendars, posting, engagement, and community management.
  • Track performance, analyse insights, and optimise content for growth and engagement.

2. Content Writing & Creation

  • Create compelling, clear, and engaging content for social media, blogs, newsletters, campaigns, and internal/external communications.
  • Produce multimedia content including short videos, reels, graphics, stories, and digital campaigns.
  • Write human-centred stories, case studies, and impact narratives that bring our work to life.

3. Brand Building & Storytelling

  • Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all digital platforms.
  • Strengthen the organisation s storytelling through fresh, innovative content ideas.
  • Maintain and update brand guidelines and digital asset libraries.

4. Digital Marketing & Growth

  • Support digital marketing initiatives including SEO-friendly content, email marketing, and audience-led campaigns.
  • Develop strategies to grow reach, improve engagement, and drive traffic across platforms.

5. Campaign Planning & Management

  • Conceptualise and execute end-to-end social media and digital campaigns for events, initiatives, and fundraising.
  • Monitor campaign performance, generate reports, and optimise based on key metrics.

6. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with program, partnerships, and leadership teams to gather stories, updates, and insights for content.
  • Coordinate with designers, videographers, and external partners for timely content production.

7. Community Listening & Trendspotting

  • Stay updated on digital trends, youth culture, and platform best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage trending formats and conversations to increase relevance and impact.
This role requires 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or related fields, with a proven track record in strategy development, content creation, and digital marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in communications roles, preferably in startups or small businesses.

  • Understanding of creators economy specific to visual storytelling is preferred

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, tools, and platforms.

  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and storytelling.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse data, evaluate performance, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Demonstrated Managerership and team management experience,

  • Passion for social impact, education, and technology.
