Responsibilities: Collecting and analysing data about a company's operational costs. Setting standard costs of manufactured goods. Developing and analysing cost standards. Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis Hiring, training, and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization. Prepare and complete internal cost audits. Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Make estimates of new and proposed product costs. Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect the prices and profitability of products or services. Assist in audits and general ledger preparation. Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program. Performing month-end cost accounting close Assisting with developing budgets and forecasting future business needs Conducting audits and investigating errors or irregularities in accounting records Analysing financial data and developing reports for management review Managing the preparation of financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets Working with external auditors to ensure company financial statements meet legal requirement. Technical: Financial accounting, Budgeting & Treasury Management accounting Cost Analysis Variance Analysis Accounting & Auditing Standards SAP / MS Word & Excel Inventory Management.
