Job Description

Manager Client Servicing and Business Development (Events)

We are seeking a dynamic Manager of Client Service & Business Development (Events) to join our expanding team. The professional should be able to manage client relationships, assist in the planning and execution of events, possess good knowledge of corporate/experiential marketing projects, and have a hunger to go out and procure new event business. The Manager will be the fulcrum in coordinating with clients, understanding their needs, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality event experiences meeting the clients expectations.

Role and

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as SPOC for clients, building strong relationships based on trust and efficient communication.
  • Understand clients event requirements and business objectives to offer bespoke event solutions.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, updating them on project timelines and progress.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in the conceptualisation, planning, and execution of events, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including creative, production and operations, to ensure that all elements of the event meet client expectations.
  • Manage event timelines, budgets and logistics to ensure smooth operations and service.
  • Should be willing to travel for events.

Creative Collaboration & Relationships:

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop innovative event concepts as per the clients requirements.
  • Recommend industry trends, best practices and market insights based solutions for the client.
  • Prepare and deliver event proposals and presentations.
  • Forging relations with vendors for artists, manpower and activities.

On-site Event Management:

  • Serve as a support function during the event to ensure flawless execution, overseeing event setup, vendor management, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Manage event staff and ensure coordination between internal and external stakeholders on the day of the event.
  • Ensure that all event deliverables are met, including brand activations, audience engagement, and client satisfaction.

Reporting & Feedback:

  • Gather post-event feedback from clients.
  • Suggest and recommend best practices based on event experience.

Client Retentions and Garnering New Business

  • Look for opportunities to upsell services.
  • Drafting new pitches and developing event proposals for new clients under the business development role.

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in client servicing, event management.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working in deadline-driven environments.
  • Should possess problem-solving skills.
  • Good network of clients.
  • Ability to manage on-site event challenges effectively.
