Job Description

Role & responsibilities

identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential clients through market research, online platforms, and industry networks.
  • Generate qualified leads by cold calling, emailing, and leveraging LinkedIn or other B2B tools.
  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline on CRM tools regularly.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Connect with prospective customers to understand their requirements, challenges, and purchase intent.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships for repeat and referral business.
  • Support senior BD managers in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct regular research on industry trends, competitors, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Collect market intelligence to support strategic decision-making and identify new business segments.

Proposal & Presentation Support

  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and company presentations as per client requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, operations, or finance) to ensure proposal accuracy and timely submission.

Sales Support & Coordination

  • Track inquiries, follow up on quotations, and ensure closure of sales deals.
  • Assist in preparing business performance reports, MIS, and dashboards for management review.
  • Coordinate with operations and service teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and project execution.

Marketing & Branding Support

  • Participate in marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and customer engagement activities.
  • Support digital marketing and content initiatives for lead generation (if applicable).

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain records of sales activities, customer interactions, and business outcomes.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on lead status, conversions, and revenue performance.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate Requirement Business Development (HR Consulting Firm)

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in

    Business Administration, Marketing, or HR

    (MBA / PGDM preferred).
  • 1–3 years

    of experience in

    business development, client acquisition, or inside sales

    , preferably in

    HR Consulting, Recruitment, or Staffing industry

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    recruitment, staffing, payroll, or talent search services

    .
  • Proven ability in

    lead generation, cold calling, and client presentations

    .
  • Excellent

    communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in

    MS Office, CRM tools

    , and comfortable using

    LinkedIn

    or other B2B platforms.
  • Target-driven, proactive

    , and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to
