Job Purpose
Manager - BBG Credit Policy will lead to ensure that the growth in Business Banking Segment is within an effective risk management framework to actively manage all the material risks faced by the Bank, in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk appetite, making the Bank resilient to shocks in a rapidly changing environment. The Bank aims to establish itself as an industry leader in the management of risks and strive to reach the efficient frontier of risk and return for the Bank and its shareholders, consistent with its risk appetite.This role shall be responsible for leading the review of the BBG portfolio primarily comprising program wise performance including delinquencies and recovery, adherence to triggers and analysis of any new programs / products. It role shall further lead the modification required to be made to the BBG credit manual, Delegation of Authority etc.
Key Responsibilities
Primary ResponsibilitiesReview and approve product programs and credit policies for Business Banking segment (up to Rs. 250 Cr turnover).
- Monitor and evaluate application scorecards and risk models specific to Business Banking product.
- Analysis of high ticket cases requiring Management Committee approval
- Conduct deep-dive portfolio analysis and initiate risk mitigation actions when necessary.
- Manage regulatory interactions and represent the risk function in relevant committees and forums.
- Ensure adherence to internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Oversee statutory and internal audits related to Business Banking Segment.
- Govern Board-level policies, including their renewal and compliance.
- Develop early warning mechanisms to detect and respond to emerging risks.
- Track macroeconomic developments and integrate insights into business strategies.
- Provide strategic guidance to business teams to align processes with the bank's overall risk and growth objectives.
- Share best practices and insights across the team to foster continuous improvement.
Secondary Responsibilities
Regular review and monitoring of Business Banking portfolio covering the following:
- Portfolio level delinquency with quarterly NPA movement and portfolio break-up across various delinquency buckets
- Delinquency metrics across various parameters viz. program wise, ticket size wise, vintage analysis, location wise
- Adherence to program wise triggers, as applicable
- Update on performance of any newly implemented programs
- Update on recovery and movement of delinquent book
