Job Description: Manager / Assistant Manager Imports

Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh

Department: Supply Chain / Procurement

Reports to: Senior Manager - EXIM

Objective: To manage and purchase the import of raw materials, decorative papers, press plates, and machinery from China to support domestic laminate production, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Import Operations (especially China )
Manage end-to-end import processes from suppliers, including documentation, customs clearance, and freight coordination.
Ensure timely delivery of goods by coordinating with freight forwarders, customs agents, and port authorities.
Supplier & Vendor Management.
Identify and evaluate suppliers for papers, chemicals and laminate-related materials.
Negotiate pricing, Incoterms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and lead time.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with Indian import regulations (DGFT, BIS, customs duties).
Maintain accurate records of import transactions and licenses.
Work closely with production, inventory, and finance teams to align import schedules with operational needs.
Support R&D and quality teams in sourcing new materials and samples from China.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in International Business / MBA or Supply Chain, or related field.
5+ years of experience in import management, with direct exposure to China trade.
Proficiency in ERP systems and import tracking tools.
Experience with laminate industry inputs like kraft paper, decorative sheets, resins, and press plates.
