Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of food processing and packaging machinery. The role ensures smooth plant operations, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities -

1. Supervise and execute preventive & breakdown maintenance of food industry machinery

2. Handle machinery including:

• Grinders
• Sortex (Color Sorter) Machines
• Cleaning Machines
• Vacuum Packing Machines
• Automatic Vacuum Machines
• Dal Mills
• Pulverizers
• Weighing Scales
• Conveyors, elevators, and other food processing & packaging equipment

3. Ensure minimum downtime and improve machine efficiency

4. Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedules

5. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control-related faults

6. Coordinate with production for planned maintenance activities

7. Maintain machine history cards, maintenance records, and spare inventory

8. Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and food industry standards

9. Supervise maintenance technicians and contract workers

10. Coordinate with machine suppliers and service engineers

11. Managing production resources, including equipment, materials, and manpower. This involves maintaining inventory levels, optimizing resource utilization, and coordinating with procurement and maintenance teams to ensure smooth production operations.

12. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the production area. This includes conducting risk assessments, implementing safety protocols, and promoting a culture of safety among production personnel.

13. Ensuring consistency in production, production planning machinery.

14. You will be reporting to Plant Head.

15. And all the office responsibilities occur time to time.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics
• 2–5 years experience in food processing / FMCG / manufacturing maintenance
• Hands-on experience with food industry machinery
• Knowledge of motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pneumatics
• Basic knowledge of electrical panels, sensors, VFDs, PLCs (preferred)
• Ability to read machine manuals and technical drawings

Preferred Experience:

• Millet, pulses, grains, rice, or agro-processing industry
• Experience in TPM / 5S / preventive maintenance systems

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in mechanical systems, machinery maintenance, and production processes.
