Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Executive at a Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters caf located in Bengaluru East. Responsibilities include ensuring the cafs facilities, equipment, and general environment are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role supports daily operations by performing routine repairs, conducting inspections, and responding to maintenance issues promptly. As a growing caf, we are looking for someone proactive, reliable, and hands-on.

Facilities & Equipment

• Perform routine maintenance on caf equipment (coffee machines, refrigerators, ovens, etc.)
• Carry out minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks
• Conduct regular checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Report major issues and coordinate with external contractors when needed
• Assist with installation or setup of new equipment as the caf grows

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure the caf meets health, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Identify potential hazards and address them promptly
• Maintain logs of inspections, maintenance work, and repairs
• Follow all safety procedures when using tools and equipment

General Upkeep

• Support daily upkeep of the caf environment (lighting, fixtures, furniture, outdoor areas)
• Replace lights, fix loose fittings, and perform basic building maintenance
• Assist with waste management, recycling, and storage organization
• Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests from the caf team

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, handyman, or facility support experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Flexibility to support a growing business with evolving needs
• Experience in the Food & Beverage industry is a plus
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage on-site maintenance tasks effectively
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications will be beneficial
