Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Engineer Job Summary: The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical machinery and equipment. The role requires strong technical skills, the ability to read engineering drawings, and hands-on experience with tools and machinery. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and fit mechanical parts, components, and machinery. Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on equipment. Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions efficiently. Install mechanical systems and ensure proper alignment. Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Conduct inspections and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Maintain records of maintenance work and equipment status. Coordinate with engineers and other technicians during installations or repairs. Adhere to company safety policies and regulatory requirements. Skills & Requirements: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Fitting or related field. Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial or manufacturing environment. Good knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and bearings. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Skilled in welding, fabrication, and use of precision instruments (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Experience in production plant. Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems. Ability to work shifts or extended hours when required.
