Job Description

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of exp in mainframe domain
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Python.
  • Experience working with Mainframe z/OS operating system, including system automation and operational processes.
  • Expert-level knowledge of mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and IMS.
  • Understanding of enterprise schedulers and batch processing systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret business requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.
  • Develop and present proofs-of-concept (POCs) to demonstrate the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Oversee the testing, deployment, and monitoring of automated solutions.
  • Provide support during deployment and hyper care phases to ensure smooth implementation of projects.
  • Offer technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
  • Establish best practices for developers.
  • Collaborate with project managers and product owners to estimate effort and plan project timelines.
