Mainframe Developer

Description

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team in Delhi NCR /Banglore. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in mainframe application development and will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining critical business applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing mainframe applications.
• Perform system testing and validation to ensure quality and performance of applications.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Document development processes, application changes, and user manuals.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in mainframe development.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-9 years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, and Assembler.
• Experience with database management systems, particularly DB2.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Familiarity with mainframe tools such as CICS, VSAM, and REXX.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing technology and business needs.
