Job Description

Mainframe Developer

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, modify, and maintain
COBOL, JCL, and DB2
based applications.
Work extensively on
DB2 SQLs, cursors, stored procedures
, and handle various
SQLCODEs
with strong troubleshooting skills.
Develop and support
CICS online programs
and screen-based transactions.
Handle
VSAM
files and perform batch and online processing.
Write and optimize
JCLs
, including complex
SORT utilities
to sort and merge multiple files.
Perform debugging, testing, and production support activities.
Use mainframe tools such as
ChangeMan/Endeavor, File-AID, SPUFI, Trace Master, Insync
, and
MQ Series
.
Participate in code reviews, impact analysis, and documentation.
Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders in the
banking domain
to deliver high-quality solutions.

Mandatory Skills

COBOL
JCL
DB2 (SQL, Cursors, Stored Procedures)
CICS
VSAM
TSO/ISPF

Desired Skills
