Job Summary

The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of mainframe applications using CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. With a focus on delivering high-quality solutions the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and the ability to guide and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

Oversee the development and maintenance of mainframe applications using CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of applications.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and objectives.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure smooth operation of applications.
Develop and implement best practices for coding testing and deployment of mainframe applications.
Monitor application performance and implement improvements to optimize efficiency.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelines.
Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in mainframe technologies and incorporate them into projects.
Mentor junior developers and provide training to enhance their technical capabilities.
Contribute to the companys purpose by delivering solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Possess a strong understanding of CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol with hands-on experience.
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
Show proficiency in developing and implementing best practices for mainframe application development.
Display the ability to mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their skills.
