Mainframe DB2 DBA and Developer

Role Overview: As a Mainframe DB2 DBA and Developer at Deutsche Bank in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in providing support to application teams, designing and developing application code, implementing technical solutions, and configuring applications to address business problems. Your expertise in DB2 DBA and development will be essential as Deutsche Bank transitions into Agile software development methodology. You will actively participate in the design and architecture of applications, promote re-usability of existing components, and contribute to the transformation program of the company. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a DB2 DBA to provide support to application teams - Design and develop application code, implement technical solutions, and configure applications - Participate in the design and architecture of applications - Ensure knowledge internalization and collaborate in the analysis and implementation of approved projects - Work on applications based on mainframe technology such as DB2 DBA, JCL, Cobol, Cics, and MQ - Manage releases, involve in functional and technical design, and programming - Ensure IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance - Identify and manage risks and issues associated with applications - Work collaboratively with global and local teams, manage vendors, and work in a scrum environment Qualifications Required: - Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, or similar field (Master recommended) - Proficiency in English - 5+ years of experience in development and maintenance of banking business applications - Experience and knowledge of banking business operations - Experience as a DB2 DBA and programming knowledge in JCL, Cobol, Cics, DB2, MQ, REXX - Solid knowledge of software engineering, design patterns, and software architecture - Experience as an analyst/technical lead, with the ability to analyze existing systems and technical documentation - DevOps-oriented mindset and experience with testing/QA tools - Leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and experience in Agile methodologies - Experience as a scrum master and understanding of the application development life cycle Additional Company Details: Deutsche Bank offers a range of benefits including leave policy, parental leaves, childcare assistance benefit, sponsorship for certifications, Employee Assistance Program, Hospitalization Insurance, Accident and Term life Insurance, and Health screening.
