Machinery Engineer

Job Summary:

The Machinery Engineer will be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical equipment and industrial machinery. The role involves ensuring continuous machine availability, minimizing downtime, and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance plans.

Roles & Responsibilities :

1.

Monitor machine performance to ensure smooth daily operations, perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to restore equipment functionality.Maintain accurate records of machine performance, breakdowns, and all maintenance activities.

2. Installation & Commissioning

Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery to ensure proper functioning.Ensure all activities comply with manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations.

3.Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency and productivity by implementing modifications that reduce downtime and enhance operational output.Collaborate closely with production teams to optimize machine utilization and overall performance.

4.Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain machine maintenance reports, calibration and compliance records, and keep SOPs for operation and maintenance up to date.

5.Safety & Compliance

Ensure equipment complies with safety and statutory requirements by conducting risk assessments, implementing corrective actions, and training operators on safe machine handling.

Coordinate with machine vendors for service, spares, AMC requirements, and assist in reviewing quotations and machinery procurement.

Qualification & Skills :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
