Machine Setter

Purpose/Objective

Work as a Setter on a Multi Spindle CNC lathe (Make-Tornos/Schutte) on a high tech 6-9 Axis Lathe Machine

Key Responsibilities of Role

3-5 years of hands-on experience of Machine setup and programming with Special type Multi spindle lathes (Schutte, Tornos, INDEX, DMG Mori etc.) Experience in setting up, tooling, and troubleshooting multi-axis operations & Familiarity with bar feeders, collet systems, and chip management. Proficiency using FANUC, SIEMENS, HAAS, Bosch multi-axis controls Tool offset adjustments, spindle synchronization, and cycle time optimization. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T. Hand-on experience of development Design fixtures, part grippers, program tool paths, and Create part programs directly on control or using offline software. Able to analyze of any Gap/shortcomings in Production Process and Quality of Product. Part of troubleshooting team. Knowledge transfer/Training to the group of operators (semi-skilled/ Trainee) in a shift to run a group of Multi spindle CNC lathes Monitoring all other shift Operators and mentorship to ensure desired Output in terms of Quality & Production. Inspecting finished/WIP workpieces for conformance to specifications using different precision measuring instruments Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment Exposure/Active participation in Lean Practice, 5S & KAIZEN activities on the shop floor.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma In Mechanical Relevant EXPERIENCE: Must: 5+ years of experience of Special CNC Multi spindle Turning operation Knowledge of TORNOS/Schutte Special Multi spindle Machine Operations Programming Knowledge- CNC programming.
