Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications. Set up, operate, and maintain lathe, milling, shaping, and drilling machines. Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, and other precision machining operations. Fit and assemble mechanical parts and components with accuracy. Conduct inspection and measurement using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools. Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines. Identify faults, dismantle defective parts, and replace/repair as required. Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and maintained. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain housekeeping in the workshop. Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve machine efficiency and reduce downtime. Record job work done and maintain production/maintenance logs.
