Machine Designer

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in machinery design, particularly in the plastic recycling or industrial automation sector. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD to conceptualize, design, and develop custom machinery components and assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Design 2D and 3D models of machinery, parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Create fabrication-ready detailed drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials). Work closely with the production and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility. Modify existing machine designs to improve performance or reduce cost. Provide design calculations, simulations, and load/stress analysis (if applicable). Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety norms. Required Skills and Experience: Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD (2D & 3D modeling). Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication techniques, tolerancing, and GD&T. Experience in designing industrial machines, recycling equipment, or custom fabrication machinery preferred. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics. Familiarity with motion elements (pulleys, gears, bearings, pneumatics, etc.). Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes like welding, machining, sheet metal work, etc. Experience with FEA or simulation tools in SolidWorks is a plus.
