Loss Forecasting and Stress Testing Analytics Analyst II

The role is within the Loss / Loan Loss Reserve Forecasting and Stress Testing team. This group is specifically tasked with calculating and managing the net credit loss and loan loss reserve forecast on a $90BN + portfolio and working with the Finance teams to build forecasts for credit losses and loan loss reserves under varying macro-economic and business conditions. You will work on efforts around Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR/DFAST) for retail portfolios with primary focus on NA cards. You should demonstrate a strong work ethic, teamwork, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. You are expected to leverage technical and business acumen to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities include understanding the key drivers of losses and loan loss reserves, their relative importance and current trends, applying this knowledge effectively to forecast losses / loan loss reserves meaningfully and accurately, analyzing underlying model outputs, reconciling detailed financial data, presenting findings to managers and key stakeholders, participating in review and challenge sessions, assisting with regulatory reviews, ensuring best-in-class governance and documentation practices, and driving process efficiencies through automation. Key Responsibilities: - Work independently and with other team members to effectively execute quarterly loss / loan loss reserve forecasting and stress testing processes for retail portfolios with a primary focus on NA cards - Engage in associated governance activities such as Manager Control Assessment, End User Computing, and Activity Risk Control Monitoring - Collaborate cross-portfolio and cross-functionally on loss / loan loss reserve forecasting and stress testing analytics - Assist in reviewing and challenging existing models to identify areas of improvement - Understand the calculation of reserves, components of P&L, and the impact of CECL on CCAR results - Collaborate with other teams on financial planning requests and increased integration of credit risk & PPNR results - Perform complex risk policy analytics and econometric analysis - Establish standardized business and submission documentation - Collaborate with Risk and Finance organization to understand and utilize data sources - Identify areas of improvement and drive process efficiency through process simplification and automation - Execute information controls to meet business objectives with utmost clarity Qualifications: - 3+ years of work experience in financial services, business analytics, or management consulting - Postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline - Understanding of risk management and experience in CCAR / DFAST / Stress Testing preferred - Hands-on experience with econometric and empirical forecasting models - Experience in data science / machine learning preferred - Proficiency in analytical packages like SAS, Datacube/Essbase, and MS Office - Strong written and oral communication skills Leadership Competencies: - Ability and experience to drive changes to achieve business targets - Displays flexibility to work well with varying personal styles - Takes personal responsibility to lead by example and appreciates diverse backgrounds - Demonstrates strong ethics and develops cross-functional relationships - Contributes to a positive work environment and supports diversity If you are a person with a disability and need a reasonable accommodation to use our search tools and/or apply for a career opportunity, review Accessibility at Citi.,
