Logistics & Supply Chain manager

As a Logistics and Supplier Chain Manager, you will be responsible for strategically planning and managing logistics operations from order to build model. You will closely collaborate with the sales and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient warehouse and stock management in order to achieve Just-in-Time (JIT) supplier chain management. Your role will involve keeping track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and overall operational efficiency. In this position, you will be required to coordinate with Customs Freight Stations (CFS), Custom House Agents (CHA), and Transporters to negotiate competitive service rates for logistic services. Your expertise in various transport options, including interactions with brokerages, carriers, taxes, import and export duties, and HS Codes, will be crucial for the success of logistics operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and executing logistics operations from China to ports in India, adhering to the terms of Free on Board (FOB) or Ex-Works (Ex-Work) mode. Your role will also involve calculating and processing duties and taxes to be paid, as well as engaging in meetings with Customs Officials for tariff reclassification and appeals when necessary. The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 5 years of experience in logistic and importing management, with strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Familiarity with the order to build concept, collaboration with production and sales teams for volume projection, and procurement is essential. Good people management and coordination skills are also required. Proficiency in detailing related to Sea Freight parameters and Shipping Documents is a must-have. A candidate with an MBA degree from a reputed educational institute would be preferred for this position.,
