Logistics Manager (Exports)

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing exports and freight forwarding in the logistics sector with expertise in rate negotiation. Your daily tasks will involve executing operations and managing carriers efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct monthly Request for Quotation (RFQ) and allocate forwarders in collaboration with the Head of Logistics and Exports team. - Coordinate the arrangement of booking copies and containers for export stuffing. - Ensure direct export stuffing at plants and notify stakeholders of any changes in Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for containers shipped. - Explore opportunities to identify new forwarders/liners for export/import operations as required. - Provide relevant inputs to the logistics analyst for export freight and inland-import handling budgets. - Identify new liners/forwarders to optimize export freight costs and implement initiatives to reduce costs in export and import freight as well as inland handling. - Drive the digitization of export operations including RFQ, container allocation, and tracking. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in exports and freight forwarding in the logistics industry. - Expertise in negotiating rates with carriers. - Strong analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities. - Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. - Experience in driving digitization initiatives within operations would be advantageous.,
